Sameday Shifts Privacy Policy

Sameday Shifts features FMT Security Services LLC. All operations are fully compliant with applicable security regulations and insurance requirements in these jurisdictions.

Operating States: Sameday Shifts currently operates exclusively in DC and Maryland. Guards must hold a valid security license issued by the state in which they work. If you are outside these states, you may request that Sameday Shifts expand to your area from the landing page.

Identity Data

Full legal name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and government-issued photo ID.

Professional Data

Security licenses, certifications, work history, and professional references.

Financial Data

Bank account details collected and stored by Stripe (we never store full card numbers or bank account numbers on our servers). Earnings history and payment records.

Location Data

Home address for distance calculations; GPS location data when location services are enabled in the app.

Usage Data

Login timestamps, pages visited, features used, actions taken, error logs, and session data.

Communications

Messages sent between Guards and Employers through the platform's messaging system.

Device Data

Device type and model, operating system, IP address, browser type, and unique device identifiers.

Camera, Photo Library & Microphone

With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to capture or upload license documents, identity-verification selfies, and shift photos/videos. We access your microphone for optional voice-to-text input when posting shifts and for video shift reports. These are only accessed when you actively use the related feature and are never accessed in the background.

To match Guards with available shifts based on location, qualifications, and preferences.

To process payments via Stripe and facilitate payouts to Guards.

To verify security license validity and compliance.

To send shift notifications, booking confirmations, and platform communications.

To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting (1099-NEC), FCRA requirements, and law enforcement requests.

To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the safety of all platform users.

To improve the platform through analytics and user feedback.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., tax records).

Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

With Employers: Guards' name, profile, license verification status, star rating, and shift history are shared with Employers who have hired or are considering hiring them.

With Guards: Employers' company name, contact information, shift location, and requirements are shared with Guards who book their shifts.

Stripe: Financial and identity data necessary for payment processing, governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy).

Legal Compliance: We may disclose your data to comply with valid legal process, court orders, or requests from law enforcement agencies.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose.

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS).

Access to sensitive personal and financial data is restricted to authorized Sameday Shifts personnel on a need-to-know basis.

Financial data is processed and stored by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We do not store payment card or full bank account numbers on our servers.

Despite our security measures, no internet-based system is 100% secure. We encourage users to use strong, unique passwords and to contact us immediately if they suspect unauthorized access to their account.

Account data (profile, booking history, earnings records) is retained for a minimum of 3 years after account closure, as required for tax reporting and legal compliance purposes.

You may request deletion of non-legally-required personal data at any time by emailing info@samedayshifts.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

We use essential cookies and local storage tokens strictly for authentication, session management, and core platform functionality.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising technology.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some core platform features from functioning correctly.

The Sameday Shifts platform is intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.
